It was a star-studded night at the 2026 GRAMMYs, and Shaboozey was on the red carpet to catch up with some of the biggest names in the music industry. Among the many talented artists and industry professionals in attendance, we were lucky enough to speak with Billboard’s very own Tetris Kelly and Leila Cobo. The two powerhouse women have been making waves in the music world and we couldn’t wait to hear their thoughts on the current state of the industry and their predictions for the future.

As we made our way down the red carpet, the excitement and energy were palpable. Fans were cheering and cameras were flashing as the biggest names in music arrived in their most glamorous attire. And among the sea of celebrities, we spotted Tetris Kelly and Leila Cobo, looking stunning and ready to take on the night.

Tetris Kelly, the Senior Director of Charts at Billboard, is no stranger to the GRAMMYs. With her expertise in chart analysis and music trends, she has been a driving force behind some of the most successful artists in recent years. When asked about her thoughts on the current state of the music industry, Tetris was quick to point out the importance of streaming services and their impact on the charts.

“Streaming has truly revolutionized the way we consume music,” she said. “It has opened up a whole new world of opportunities for artists and has allowed for a more accurate representation of what people are actually listening to.”

Tetris also emphasized the importance of diversity in the industry, both in terms of artists and genres. “Music is a universal language and it’s important to celebrate and recognize all types of music and the artists behind them,” she said.

We also had the pleasure of speaking with Leila Cobo, Billboard’s Vice President and Latin Industry Lead. With her extensive knowledge of the Latin music scene, Leila has been a driving force in bringing Latin music to the forefront of the industry. When asked about the rise of Latin music in recent years, Leila was thrilled to see the genre gaining the recognition it deserves.

“It’s incredible to see the growth and success of Latin music on a global scale,” she said. “It’s a testament to the hard work and talent of the artists and the dedication of their fans.”

Leila also touched on the importance of inclusivity in the industry, especially for underrepresented communities. “It’s crucial for the music industry to be inclusive and to give a platform to all voices,” she said. “We have seen the impact of diverse representation and it’s something we should continue to strive for.”

As the night went on, we couldn’t help but feel inspired by the passion and drive of these two incredible women. They have both made significant contributions to the music industry and have paved the way for future generations. And with their expertise and vision, we can only imagine what the future holds.

As our conversation came to an end, Tetris and Leila left us with some words of wisdom for aspiring music professionals. “Be open to learning and always stay curious,” Tetris advised. “And most importantly, never give up on your dreams,” added Leila.

As we said our goodbyes, we couldn’t help but feel grateful for the opportunity to speak with these two powerhouse women. Their insights and positivity were a true inspiration and we can’t wait to see what they will accomplish in the years to come.

The 2026 GRAMMYs were a night to remember, and our conversation with Tetris Kelly and Leila Cobo was definitely a highlight. As we continue to see the music industry evolve and grow, we can’t wait to see what these two incredible women will achieve. We thank them for taking the time to speak with us and for their contributions to the world of music.
