Billboard’s Tetris Kelly recently caught up with the iconic duo Miss Piggy and Kermit from ‘The Muppets’ to discuss their decision to revive their beloved show and their thoughts on the current music scene. From the rise of KPop Demon Hunters to the success of artists like Sabrina Carpenter and Taylor Swift, Miss Piggy and Kermit shared their insights and opinions on it all.

Miss Piggy, the glamorous and outspoken diva, wasted no time in expressing her thoughts on the recent influx of blonde pop stars. “Yet another blonde coming for my job. Don’t tell her I said that,” she joked, referring to Sabrina Carpenter. But despite her playful jab, Miss Piggy also acknowledged the talent and hard work of these young artists. “I have to give credit where credit is due. These girls are killing it and I’m all for women empowerment in the music industry.”

Kermit, the ever-charming and level-headed frog, chimed in with his thoughts on the success of KPop Demon Hunters. “It’s amazing to see the global reach of KPop music. These Demon Hunters are taking the world by storm and I think it’s great to see different cultures and genres coming together in music.”

When asked about their decision to bring back ‘The Muppets’ show, Miss Piggy was quick to take credit. “Well, let’s just say I may have had a little something to do with it. I mean, who wouldn’t want to see more of this fabulousness on their screens?” she said with a wink. But on a serious note, both Miss Piggy and Kermit expressed their excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to entertain audiences once again.

The conversation then turned to the topic of young artists making a name for themselves in the music industry. Miss Piggy, who has been in the spotlight for decades, offered some words of wisdom for these rising stars. “It takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and a little bit of luck to make it in this industry. But most importantly, you have to stay true to yourself and your art. Don’t let anyone change you or your vision.”

Kermit, who has been by Miss Piggy’s side through it all, added, “And don’t forget to have fun along the way. That’s what it’s all about.”

The conversation then shifted to the topic of Taylor Swift, who recently released her highly anticipated album ‘Lover.’ Miss Piggy, a self-proclaimed Swiftie, gushed about the singer’s talent and success. “I just love her. She’s a true artist and her music speaks to so many people. Plus, she knows how to put on a show. Maybe she can give me some tips,” she joked.

Kermit also shared his admiration for Swift, saying, “She’s a great songwriter and her music has evolved so much over the years. It’s always exciting to see what she’ll come up with next.”

As the interview came to a close, Miss Piggy and Kermit expressed their gratitude to their fans for their continued support and promised to bring even more entertainment and laughter with the revival of ‘The Muppets’ show. “We can’t wait for everyone to see what we have in store. It’s going to be epic,” Miss Piggy exclaimed.

With their larger-than-life personalities and undeniable chemistry, Miss Piggy and Kermit continue to captivate audiences of all ages. And with their show set to make a comeback, fans can expect even more laughter, music, and mayhem from this iconic duo.
